Graph distance metrics

In mathematics, computer science and especially graph theory, a distance matrix is a square matrix (two-dimensional array) containing the distances, taken pairwise, between the elements of a set. Depending upon the application involved, the distance being used to define this matrix may or may not be a metric. If there are N elements, this matrix will have size N×N. In graph-theoretic applications the elements are more often referred to as points, nodes or vertices. WebSimilarity Measures. #. Functions measuring similarity using graph edit distance. The graph edit distance is the number of edge/node changes needed to make two graphs isomorphic. The default algorithm/implementation is sub-optimal for some graphs. The problem of finding the exact Graph Edit Distance (GED) is NP-hard so it is often slow.

Then, Jaro distance is defined as follows: if M = 0, then jaro_distance = 0 Else, jaro_distance = (1/3) * (M / S1 + M / S2 + (M-T)/M) where: S1 is length of string S1 S2 is length of string S2 birthe nelius
